[Women's Cross Country] Lady Knights finish 2nd at Greensboro Cross Country Invitational

Greensboro, NC: The St. Andrews University Lady Knights cross country team raced to a quality finish with a 2nd place team finish in the Open/NAIA Division of the Greensboro X-C Invitational.

St. Andrews finished 14th overall out of 19 mostly Div. I and II teams but fell to fellow NAIA foe West Va. Tech in the NAIA division.

The Lady Knights were led by sophomore, Hannah Biddle (SO/Blue Bell, PA) who ran a New Personal Best of 21:49.17 to pace the Knights to the team victory as she came in 50th place out of 165 runners. Following Biddle were senior, Kaitlyn Stempien (SR/Raleigh, NC) running a solid 22:06 to place 58th, freshman, Scout Maddox (FR/Flower Mound, TX) at 24:21.68, freshman Nina Havelka (FR/Charlotte, NC) (New PR of 26:23.16) and junior, Kate Neidrick (JR/Shippensburg, PA) also setting a New lifetime best of 28:49.13

The Lady Knights will now go back into a solid training mode to begin the month of October which is the official start of the championship portion of the collegiate cross country season.

The next meet is October 9th at the Royals XC Challenge in Charlotte where the Lady Knights will run with some of the best teams in the nation from NAIA, NCAA D1, NCAA D2 and NCAA D3 at McAlpine Creek Park which is the home of the 2015 and 2016 NAIA National Cross Country Championships.
